So, we just found out we have to replace our entire home AC/Heating unit....a large chunk o' change! I don't normally do much arranging in the summer - usually take off most of it. However, I am contemplating taking on several commissioned works this next few months. Stay tuned, as I may open it up to new groups or anyone who is interested.

If I could sum up the various things I'm grateful for in one word, it would be family. My lovely wife, Samantha, my children Liam, Lindy, Lief, and Liza, and my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Through all of these individuals I find my greatest joy in life. And that joy comes through service to my family and the Lord. Though I fall short daily, it's the daily struggles and the eternal journey that allow us to grow and to become more like our Father in Heaven. As a musician, it's my opinion that Music itself testifies that we have a Heavenly Father who created us in His image, loves us, and wants us to return to him some day. Thanksgiving and Christmas seem to stir up these feelings more in our family...almost like a rejuvenation and boost for the upcoming year. Hope you can find the same spark from this beautiful season of gratitude and thanks.
Been realizing more lately how blessed I am. Good to have God, family, friends, a job, a home, a car that runs, a fun chorus to sing with, and the opportunity to write music for talented friends.
Got back to teaching at the elementary school the first week of August. We start early every summer, but we get a week off in October, two off in December, and one off in spring, and should release for summer in mid May. Kind of a year round school. Still, we end up missing 7 - 10 days of school from snow each January/February - so we don't let out until June most years. This year we put Liza and Lief in a 3 day / 3 hour pre-school (M,T,W) which seems to be giving Samantha a little break those mornings. Liam and LIndy are enjoying school again (5th and 3rd grade) - and Samantha and I are generally trying to keep the madhouse under control! The 7:30 bed time can be the most stressful and crazy part of the day. On top of pajamas, brushing teeth, diaper changing, and packing lunches, we try to read scriptures and pray as a family each evening, but that's like herding cattle some nights. Somehow we signed up for this...so we love it :)
