ABOUT THESE ARRANGEMENTS

When searching the  Master List of Dale Arrangements - you'll see several descriptions, including:

"AS PERFORMED BY" - typically this is the group that commissioned the arrangement and first performed it.  Other key groups that performed the song might also be listed.

"INSPIRED BY (Source Material)" - this is the original artist, recording, band, movie, production, film, or other source that inspired or influenced the arrangement.

"GENRE" - this is the general style/genre that I personally label the arrangement under.  "Swing" for example, would be typically any song with a backbeat that was part of the big band and/or jazz era or modern songs with that style.

"TEMPO" - Slow, Moderate, Fast, Very Fast

"PURCHASE SHEET MUSIC" - This is where you purchase the sheet music if available.

“CONTEST” -  The arrangement was created for potential use in barbershop competitions  held by various organizations.  For men that is typically the Barbershop Harmony Society, and for female voicing either Harmony Incorporated or Sweet Adelines International.   Though created for contest, some could be considered “on the edge” according to the event or oyou are competition guidelines.  Some are also much more challenging to perform. You can email me with questions regarding the suitability of an arrangement for contest, or consult someone else in the judging community.  Sweet Adeline or Harmony Incorporated singers SHOULD check with someone in their judging community regarding the suitability of my arrangements for their competitions.

"DIFFICULTY" - Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard

“SHOW” – Not a contest arrangement.  Arranged for show performance opportunities.

"VOICING" - This is usually M for male, F for female, SATB for Soprano-Alto-Tenor-Bass (also Mixed),  or combinations of these as available.

"NUMBER OF PARTS"  - exactly that...the number of voice parts written.  Sometimes it might have a "range" (5 - 7) if the song has some occasional divided sections that do not last the entire song.

"LEARNING TRACK AVAILABILITY"  - If I have learning tracks or someone else does you'll see it listed here.

"LEARNING TRACK VOICING" - M male,  F female, etc.
