ABOUT AARON
In 2024, Aaron Dale was inducted into the Barbershop Harmony Society Hall of Fame along with legends Steve Armstrong, Tom Gentry, and Clay Hine. The Society noted:
"Rarely in the history of our Barbershop Harmony Society does someone completely alter how we think about the barbershop style. Aaron Dale is one of those few."

In 2020, Aaron also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Arrangers from the Barbershop Harmony Society. This prestigious award is "awarded to an arranger, living or in memorium, in recognition of the profound effect of their contributions on the musical culture of barbershop harmony as an art form through their collective body of work." Aaron’s work has shaped the genre significantly. The inaugural class of recipients included such renowned arrangers as Renee Craig, Tom Gentry, and David Wright.
From 2001 to 2004, Aaron directed the Louisville Times Chorus. In 2006, he co-founded the Kentucky Vocal Union (KVU), a male barbershop chorus based in Elizabethtown. KVU placed 3rd at the 2012 Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Contest, with Aaron serving as director and primary arranger until 2017.
Aaron has arranged for dozens of international champion ensembles, including the Westminster Chorus, O.C. Times, Masters of Harmony, Vocal Majority, Scottsdale Chorus, Ringmasters, Vocal Spectrum, Crossroads, and many others worldwide.
Aaron and his wife Samantha live in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, where they raised four children and both teach in the Hardin County School system. A percussionist, Aaron holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky, where he studied under Dr. James Campbell. He also earned a Master’s in Special Education from Campbellsville University. Since 2002, Aaron has been a music coach and has taught percussion ensembles and drumlines across Kentucky since 1992. His percussion compositions are published by Row-Loff Productions.
