As director of the Kentucky Vocal Union, I offer a huge thanks to all our fans and supporters.  Many of you made a monetary pledge that helped us meet our recent fundraising goal - which we met and exceeded with your help!   Thanks so much for supporting the KVU as we prepare for future performances for you.

The KVU has launched a fundraising project to help fund its trip to the BHS international chorus contest next summer in Portland, Oregon. The page, which can be found on Kickstarter.com, offers the unique opportunity to support the chorus and, in exchange, be rewarded with a ton of incentives. Personalized Singing Valentines filmed in HD, unique KVU memorabilia, never-before-seen-or-heard footage from deep within the chorus's archives and more.

Check it out at Kickstarter.com, and tell your friends! If we don't reach our fundraising goal of $6,500 by the cutoff date of January 26, we won't receive any of the money pledged, even if we get to $6,499.

Thank you so much for support!

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  I hope you can create special memories with loved ones and friends, and I thank you for all your friendship through music! Here is a Christmas song I wrote in 1994 called "When the Summer Sun Is Gone" - performed by the Kentucky Vocal Union.

Check out the KVU's upcoming show - December 2, 2011 - 8:00 p.m. at the Clifton Center in Louisville, KY.  More info at www.kyvocalunion.org

We had a blast at the cardinal convention this past weekend.  Samantha runs the judges room, and I'm the DRCJ for cardinal - so we stay in the judges hospitality room.   Had all 4 kids with us, along with my mother who usually goes to help out and watch the contest.    They swim alot, and love to ride the elevators.   But, the two youngest kids were extra wild this weekend - so we had to threaten to leave them home next time if they didn't settle down.  They'll grow up soon and all we'll have are memories of their craziness! :)

KVU scored 87.7 and qualified to go to Portland summer 2012.   We performed the same set we sang in KC - Rock This Town, and Since I Don't Have You.   Great fun!
